Madam C.J. Walker

                 Madam C. J. Walker was born December 33, 1867 and dies May 25 1919. She created hair products for many women  she also created the Pressing Comb she created Shampoo in  1907 and was an entrepreneur who built her empire developing hair products  and was an orphan at the age of seven.She said she wanted to attempt to help black women take better proper care of their hair and to help it grow more. She spent all of her life helping many women  have healthy hair and  producing women fell nice about their  hair.
My Thoughts on Madam C. J. Walker is that she has inspired many young people and have shown them that they can do anything that they put their mind to and color does not matter.She has made  many great products that will still help many women hair today and has created the pressing comb that we still use . Even though she has  died many people still remember her from her great accomplishments she is a role model and a great person.

Fried foods like "sufganiyot" (jelly-filled doughnuts) and "latkes"(potato pancakes) are especially popular, as are dairy foods for Hanukkah.

Diego Rivera's 125th Birthday

Diego María de la Concepción Juan Nepomuceno Estanislao de la Rivera y Barrientos Acosta y Rodríguez - was born December 8, 1886 and died – November 24, 1957 known simply as Diego Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter born in  Guanajuato, Guanajuato. He is husband of Frida Kahlo. Rivera began drawing when he was only three, just a year after his twin brother's death. He had been caught drawing on the walls. His parents, rather than punishing him, installed chalkboards and canvas on the walls for the young painter to make use. In Mexico he will be truely missed by his fantastic art work and loving spirit. [R.I.P Diego]

This article will be about a two year old girl named Bianca Lily Jones that has been missing since May. Authorities in Detroit are looking at extending the search through the weekend for a 2-year-old girl reportedly taken in a carjacking.D'Andre Lane told police that Bianca Jones was in a rear car seat when the vehicle was taken at gunpoint Friday morning on the city's North End. The car was found a short time later, but the girl was not in it.

                                                                                                                          Garrett Augustus Morgan (1877-1963), is best known for his invention of the automatic traffic signal. He also is the inventor of the gas mask, used by firemen in the early 1900s and by soldiers in World War I. In 1963, Morgan was awarded a citation for his traffic signal by the United States Government.

     Maulana Karenga, the founder of Kwanzaa, thought that Kwanzaa should be a national holiday in 1966. Kwanzaa is celebrated for one full week for honoring African American heritage. On those seven days, there are activities such as candle lighting, and pouring of libations, and culminating in a feast and gift giving.
